How to setup website

Hi there, while I work as web developer, one of my friend ever shot me question “How to setup a website?”

There are 3 steps required in order to setup a successful online presence,

1. Choosing a domain name and hosting service

In order to get your web page on the internet, you will need domain name and web hosting service. Domain name is your address in the internet, in example www.example.com. Choose good domain name, your domain name should be your website name and easy to remember. And maybe you can use your brand or products name that you offer as domain name. Once you have the domain name, you will need web hosting service, a web host is a company that has computers (also referred to as servers) that are connected to the internet 24/7. So in order to able people accessing your web page, you need web hosting.

2. Building and publishing your website

Once you got the domain name and webhosting, we will start building the website. There are some CMS (Content Management System) that will help us to build website instantly. For example, if you are going to build an online store, you can use ZenCart CMS, if you are going to build a blog, you can use Wordpress. All we need just a few click to install the CMS, we don’t need to understand website programming in order to do this. But make sure your web hosting provide website builder. 3. Promoting your website in the search engine
Ok, once your website up and ready, now we need to start getting traffic through the search engine such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. Register for webmaster account and submit your website to each search engine. You will be able to submit your website so the search engine can be more friendly crawling your website.
